From Pose to Poise
The healthy adult moves from pose to poise. He wants to be ex-posed so that he can act freely with no further need to invent or protect a self-created image.
From David Richo "How to be an Adult in Relationships."
David Richo writes about getting stuck in roles in relationships, but I take this advice for everything. By releasing the pose of healer, partner, daughter, or teacher, I experience vivid truth about myself.
Each moment contains ambiguity, depth, and a full spectrum of possibility. When I narrow my experience to fit any one role, I limit myself. Today I embrace the many multitudes of options in each moment. I accept the ambiguity of every predicament.
With love,
Maeve
